Can I collect a Zelf van on a Sunday or outside normal hours?
Yes. The depot is unstaffed — you collect and return through the app, so you are not tied to counter opening hours. Book your slot in the app; you will get a map link before your rental starts. Van hire depot collection →
Can I hire a Zelf van for half a day?
Yes. Vans are priced by the hour up to a daily cap — a tip run or afternoon job can be a 2–3 hour booking, not a forced full day. Fuel is not included; return the van at the same level you started with. The app quotes the full price before you pay. Van pricing →
How do I know which van size to book?
Browse our van size page — each van has a Learn more link to its full specs and load space (for example, Van 2). Small vans suit tip runs and single-item collections; larger vans suit house moves. Not sure? Call 0345 034 3838 before you book.
How do I check van availability before I book?

Free parking for your car
Yes — free on-site parking is included for the whole hire. Drive your own car to our gated depot, park in the van’s space, and take the van. Your car stays on our private, CCTV-monitored land until you return the van, swap it back, and drive home in your own car. Free parking while you hire →
